Sink leak water damage

A homeowner in Valencia, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch after noticing a musty smell in his kitchen. Upon inspection, our team found the leak had damaged the island cabinets and drywall and the surrounding vinyl floors. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch began by removing the countertop, island drywall and affected cabinetry. Next, we removed the affected vinyl flooring and baseboards and set up a dehumidifier to stabilize the environment and dry out materials overnight. Upon return we found the remaining materials were dry. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch completed the job by disinfecting the entire area. The homeowner was thrilled he could now call his contractor to come out and finish the work!
