Supply line water damage

A homeowner in Santa Clarita, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch when the supply line in her kitchen burst, damaging 75% of her home.  We arrived on the scene and immediately began extracting water to minimize the damage to the structure. In the living room shown, we found the carpet and walls severely damaged. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch set up dehumidifiers to stabilize the environment and powerful air movers to begin drying the wet materials. We then manipulated contents in this room so that the carpeting and pad could be removed. After removing the carpeting and pad we found wet vinyl underneath. We removed this vinyl as well. Next, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch swept and disinfected the flooring and affected walls. The homeowner was thrilled to return to her home and have her contractor out to finish the job!
