Washing machine leak

A homeowner in Westlake Village, CA called out SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch when they found several rooms of their home soaked as the result of a leak in their washing machine. In the laundry room shown, the leak damaged the tile floors and drywall wall. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch set up drying equipment overnight so as to salvage as much of the materials as possible. After moving the appliances in the room, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch removed the equipment as we found the tile floors were not making sufficient drying progress. We removed the damaged tile flooring and the mortar bed underneath and the baseboards. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch HEPA vacuumed the area and applied antimicrobial solution to the remaining materials. We set up a dehumidifier overnight to dry the subfloor and upon return found that the equipment had fully dried the area. The homeowner was thrilled at how quickly SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch was able to complete the work and get their home in working order.
