Crawlspace Water Damage

A homeowner in Beverly Hills, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch when he began noticing water damage inside a bedroom long after he fixed a leak in the crawlspace under his home. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch arrived and found the hardwood floors, baseboards and plaster walls were wet. Out team set up dehumidifiers to stabilize the environment as we had concerns about mold growth after the long time lapse of the water damage. After several days SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch found some the plaster walls were dry but much of the drywall and wood flooring was not drying well and would need to be removed. We also found mold in several walls and under the flooring. After removing the flooring and damaged drywall, we wire brushed the studs and sub floor and disinfected the entire area. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch completed the work by detail cleaning the entire room. The homeowner could now call his contractor to finish the job and was thrilled with how quickly his house was back to its original state.
