Toilet Water Damage

A homeowner in Montrose, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch when the wax ring for the toilet began leaking water throughout her bathroom. We arrived on the scene and found that the drywall and tile floors were affected. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch began by setting up dehumidifiers to stabilize the environment and initiate the drying process. Next, we set up containment and removed the wet tile. We also detached the vanity to remove the tile underneath and removed the toilet. After removing the tile, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch found that the wood sub floor was rotted and removed those materials. We removed the remaining wet drywall behind the toilet as well. Finally, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch treated the affected area with anti-microbial solution and detail cleaned the entire bathroom. The homeowner was thrilled she could now call her contractor to complete the job and her home could be back to its original state.
