Water heater flood

A home owner in West Hills, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch one week after his home experienced a water loss from the bursting of a water heater. Water damaged the hallway carpeting and wall-papered plaster walls. Due to the length of time since the loss, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch set up dehumidifiers to stabilize the environment and to prevent secondary damage. We removed the wet carpet and padding and set up a desiccant to try and dry the plaster walls. Within one day the equipment did its job and all of the walls were dry! The homeowner was thrilled with SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch for saving her wall paper.
