Toilet Water Damage

A homeowner in Encino, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch in a panic when water began spraying all over her bathroom, soaking the floors and walls and causing significant damage. Due to a blocked sewer line, water pressure built up and caused the toilet seal to break as well. First, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch left a high powered fan in the space to dry as much of the flooring and walls as possible. Our team returned and found the parquet flooring would need to be removed and found the plywood flooring underneath was still wet. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch treated the subfloor with microbial disinfecting solution and placed a dehumidifier to stabilize the environment. Once drying was complete, we wire brush and detailed cleaned the area and completed the job by HEPA vacuuming. The homeowner was now ready for her flooring vendor to come out and complete the job!
