Balcony Water Damage

A tenant in Van Nuys, CA experienced a water loss when a pipe burst on her balcony, spilling water into her living room. The property manager called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch to come and help with the cleanup. Upon arrival we found the carpet and padding and some of the drywall was drenched. After the contents of the home were removed, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch removed the damaged carpet and padding. Next, we HEPA vacuumed the room and applied a disinfectant to the slab. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch then removed three feet of wet drywall and disinfected the studs. The apartment was now ready for a contractor to patch up the walls and install new carpet. The property manager was thrilled at how quickly her tenants could move back in!
