Clean Storm Water Damage
A property owner in Reseda, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch after a storm caused a roof leak which spilled rainwater into a bathroom, hallway, living room and bedroom. We found the rains had affected the tile flooring, drywall walls and ceiling, and carpeting. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch set up dehumidifiers to stabilize the environment and begin drying materials. Next, we removed carpet and padding, baseboard and affected drywall in the hallway. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch continued in the bathroom by detaching the vanity and toilet and removing the drywall and insulation. In the bedroom we removed the damaged carpet and pad, drywall and baseboards. After finding tiles underneath the carpeting in the bedroom, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch determined the presence of asbestos required an abatement team to complete the work. Following abatement, the homeowner would be able to call her contractor out to return her home to its’ original condition.
